The Athletic Department is rumored to be considering whether to schedule SEC power Georgia for its home opener in the 2010 season! The agreement would take the Wolverines to Athens in 2011. Talk about a big-time addition to the schedule! This would insert Michigan directly into the SEC - Big Ten debate and give the Wolverines a chance to regain national respect by knocking off a top opponent. While I'm glad we're not playing UGA this year, if it happened, I think Coach Rodriguez would have a formidable team ready by 2010 and definitely 2011 (our frosh QBs would be Juniors). The move would also plant us in the middle of the deep South, which can't hurt with recruiting. Who wouldn't want to see the Wolverines and Dawgs battle it out on national TV?
